RELEVANT TO HUMANITY
I’ve often wondered if this is true, though; not referring to ‘right’ in the objective truth sense, but with regard to the specific offense. Since that seems to be the basis of a lot of SJ, at least on Tumblr and similar - where if you’re offended by something, you have more of a right than the offending party to have your views respected. e.g. you’re apparently not supposed to tell someone that they are wrong by being offended, and that the views of marginalized communities should be paramount in discussions of issues pertaining to them, even if their stance on a particular issue might be objectively ‘wrong’.
tl;dr I would be interested to know what Ricky Gervais would make of Tumblr social justice.
